Our Story

Natural skin care has its roots in the 4th millennium BC in China and the Middle East. It is believed that the Egyptians developed many natural skin care treatments for a variety of skin conditions.

I have always been obsessed with skin care and the first thing I notice about people when I meet them is their skin. I have met people with bad skin and I have always wondered what can be done to change that.  Eight years ago I was using a bleaching cream that burnt my hand and almost left me scared. One day I looked at my hands and asked myself why I was trying to recreate what God created. In 2004 I started taking care of my skin with organic products that I made, I used it for two years and saw that it worked so in December 2006 I decided to introduce it to the world and that's how Amoize was born.

About the name: Amoize pronounced as (Am oi ze) was actually an idea from my niece. When we were looking for a name we wanted something that will represent the moistness of our products. She spelt my name Ezioma backwards, and that became amoize.

What is natural skin care?

Natural skin care is the care of the skin using naturally-derived ingredients (such as herbs, roots, essential oils and flowers) combined with naturally occurring carrier agents, preservatives, surfactants, humectants and emulsifiers. 

Why natural skin care?

1 Corinthians 6:19 tells us our bodies are God's temple. Not only did He create our bodies, but he also dwells in them through his Holy Spirit. Based on that knowledge, how should we treat our bodies? It makes sense to care for it wisely. With today's numerous environmental challenges affecting the health and beauty of our environment and increasingly our health and beauty as well, we have to realize that our skin is alive; it needs natural cleaning, conditioning, repair and maintenance, therefore it is of great importance to select the products we intend to use carefully.

My emphasis is on creating natural bath and body products that our customers will like.   All of our products contain shea, mango, and other raw organic butters and steam-distilled essential oils (when possible).  Over 92% of the ingredients we use come directly from the growers. All of our Natural Cosmetic Bases are made in the United States.
