Romans 8:28 guarantees that all things works together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. He makes something beautiful for His children in every circumstance—even in situations that seem painful and wrong. This is my favorite scripture! This tells me that NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS it is happening for good. It may not be good for me, but it is good for someone. I may never find out what good came out of something bad, but I can rest in the fact that God is in control and that He loves me.
During one of the most trying seasons of my life, I would sit in my sanctuary and pour out my heart to God. Since God was a good listener, he always reminded me that He was in control.
This truth became an anchor in my life; no matter how much the adversity intensified, I found solace in knowing that my heavenly Father is sovereign.
Putting together this publication has been both a challenge and joy to me. I have learned to pay attention to and trust my instincts. When I first announced that I was going to start my magazine, people told me I was ‘out of my mind.’ I smiled and said, “Maybe, but it’s going to work anyway.”
My key learning point of this whole experience is that, I listened, when my inner voice was telling me I needed to make a change. Fortunately for me, I paid attention to my vision, knowing that it’s never too late to transition. I was not afraid of change, because I believed in who I am and the value of what I can do. I set myself up to be successful by doing whatever it takes, knowing that all things will work together for my good.
I am grateful for every professional and personal experience that underlies my work.
I am also thankful and appreciative for listening to myself and taking action in relation to my publishing journey. I am happy about the changes I’ve made and will continue to make so Amoize magazine can be meaningful. I am also pleased to share the African world through this magazine.
So this is my first appeal of the first issue —please read the issue, then, if you can possibly do so, help support AMOIZE and all that we do by advertising with us, subscribing and renewing early or making a gift subscription. If you advertise or subscribe this year, you’ll receive a thank-you gift from us. It can all be done conveniently using the postage-paid envelope that will be attached in the middle of your copy of AMOIZE! And a big thank you from all of us here at AMOIZE magazine.
