In addition to that she started shadowing physicians at Plano hospitals before applying to medical school knowing that those credentials will help her secure admission to medical school and it worked. Of the five thousand applicants that applied to the medical school, she was among the 103 students admitted that year.
Cassidy went straight from high school to medical school and was able to graduate in five years and nine months with BSc/MD at the age of 23. I am publishing Cassidy’s story to share information with other children that are interested in pursuing a career in medicine.
