Remember to focus on time management.
Let’s discuss the goals we want to set for the month of August.
I find time management helpful because when I am hyper-focused, I can lose track of time and spend too long on one task. I also tend to procrastinate more than I should. It would be beneficial for me to break tasks into smaller parts and allocate specific time frames for each part. This way, if I don’t finish everything within the designated time, I can schedule time to complete it later, especially if it’s not an urgent task.
During the week, it can be challenging to manage my time effectively, especially before and after work when all I want to do is relax and not constantly think about my to-do list. However, if it’s an important task, I make sure to prioritize it so that I can unwind and relax before going to bed.
Set another saving goal
During the summer months, expenses tend to increase due to many weddings, graduations, anniversaries, and birthdays. Additionally, I tend to engage in more activities during the warmer months. I need to be more mindful and go back to tracking my spending to ensure that I don’t neglect my saving habits.
Having more rest
I have annual leave from work, but during my days off, I’ll be keeping busy and won’t have much time to relax. Sometimes I feel guilty taking time off because I enjoy my job and don’t feel the need to use my leave right now. However, I need to listen to my body and rest when necessary. I have to rest in order to concentrate and focus on my work. When I’m tired, I struggle to maintain focus and can make careless mistakes at work. Therefore, I’ll be taking more annual leave to rest and recover, as work can be draining at times, and I need more time for self-care.
Having something to look forward to
Time is flying, and when I am bogged down with work, I don’t tend to have exciting things planned, and sometimes I need something to look forward to give me a little push to keep going when I feel like quitting. I don’t know what I want to look forward to, but perhaps it will be worth looking for either an activity to do in London or find another fun, cheap alternative, so I have a healthy balance of work and play. What do you have to look forward to next month?
Take away
When life is lifting at times, we are so focused on getting on with what we have to do that we forget to stop and smell the flowers and remain present.
